( ! ) Notice: Function _load_textdomain_just_in_time was called <strong>incorrectly</strong>. Translation loading for the <code>wpforms-lite</code> domain was triggered too early. This is usually an indicator for some code in the plugin or theme running too early. Translations should be loaded at the <code>init</code> action or later. Please see <a href="https://developer.wordpress.org/advanced-administration/debug/debug-wordpress/">Debugging in WordPress</a> for more information. Learning Tasks

Current Families

Understanding where a student is at in their learning sits at the heart of the work of schools. At Preston High School, assessment, through our learning tasks, is used in three ways and shared with students and families through the online Compass system.

Assessments

Assessments provide information for teachers, students and families on a student’s level of understanding of the specific skills and knowledge covered in a unit of work. They outline performance and achievement against Victorian Curriculum levels. At Preston High school, we use developmental rubrics to provide this feedback to our families.

Milestones

Milestones are checkpoints across a unit of work. Milestones provide teachers with the opportunity to check students understanding and progress, and provide students with the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and identify their next steps.

Milestones are categorised as ‘Assignments’ on the Compass Learning task

Homework

To support the students’ understanding of what homework is, we call our homework PPR tasks. PPR stands for Practice, Prepare, and Revise; the main activities that students can do independently or with family support.
